Sorrento & Umbria Cooking Tour
DAY 1 – Rome – Naples – Sorrento
Pick up at your hotel in Rome around 8am, transfer to Rome station to board your high speed train to Naples. Arrival in Naples and transfer to Sorrento. Check-in Hotel 4**** centrally located as Hotel Flora or similar. Dinner and overnight
DAY 2 – Cooking Class
After breakfast transfer at 10 am transfer to a typical Farm in the hills in Sorrento.
Meeting with the owners under the typical «Patio » with lemon and orange’s trees. Introduction of the owners, (English speaking) to discover the family’s history. Visit of the farm with its animals, gardens, and cultivations : vegetables, fruits, oil, wines. You will discover the tradition of the Mediterranean Area’s typical products according to the family’s works. After the visit cooking class starts.

Transfer to the Hotel and free time at leisure in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight
DAY 3 – Mozzarella class: mozzarella lesson in a typical «caseificio» Sorrento area
After breakfast transfer at 10am to a typical CASEIFICIO nearby Sorrento (closed on Sunday) A Special Tour in a Typical «Caseificio» with English speaking tour escort to discover the production of Mozzarella and other typical cheese of Sorrento Area. Each participant can make a Mozzarella and after have a tasting of the products in the typical «Taverna» in a nice and relaxing place of the farm with Orange and Lemon’s trees. Each participant will have a personal Kit with Smock, Paper Hat, Shoes to wear to go inside the « Caseificio » for sanitary measures.
Introduction on the caseificio and delivery of the Kit . Visit of the Caseificio with information about the 1st step of production : the milk. After you will discover how the factory works the milk . The tour escort will show you and explain step by step all the moments, introducing also other cheese, not only Mozzarella. Clients will have time to make their own Mozzarella. At the end of the visit , a tasting will be served in the « Tavernetta » of the factory . Lunch. Transfer to the Hotel and free time at leisure in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 – Sorrento – Napoli – Rome – Spoleto
After breakfast transfer from Sorrento to Naples train station, board your train Spoleto with change in Rome. Transfer from Spoleto train station to Hotel Clitunno. Welcome drinks at the arrival, welcome dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 – Spoleto – Umbrian cooking class
Breakfast, start around 10am your introduction to classic Umbrian cooking making with your own hands some typical appetizers like bruschetta, salad and truffle sauce and pasta (home made pasta like strangozzi or gnocchi) lunch tasting of the dishes you have made.
From 3.30 pm you will be free to relax or visit Spoleto on your own.
Tonight dinner at the restaurant of the hotel the “San Lorenzo” to celebrate your graduation, overnight.
DAY 6 – Montefalco
Breakfast, visit today the area of Montefalco with and english speaking guide to taste olive oil and the famous Sagrantino red wine at a nice vinery. Lunch included. Return to Spoleto around 2.30 pm, free time and dinner on your own overnight.
DAY 7 – Spoleto
Breakfast, transfer to Spoleto railway station. End of services.
